Norman/Viking sword (10/11C)

Wide parallel blade with fuller, tapering to a slight point, but mainly a slashing weapon/ This is made by a company called Armourclass in Scotland, they make very good swords at a reasonable price.

Two Handed Sword (15C)

This is a short 2 hander, about 4', diamond section blade, tapering to a point for thrusting with curved guard and an 8 sided faceted pommel.It can be used one handed at times but is really a two hander.

Made by Dave Woodward, our society founder and armorer. It has been in use for about 12 years now, its needed a couple of overhauls to clean up the edge, and remove a slight bend and retemper, but apart from that theres been no problem with it. He makes good swords at a good price, and is willing to take orders outside of the society.

Arming Sword (15C)

Single handed sword, diamond section blade tapering to a point for thrusting, 8 sided faceted pommel.

This would be worn by a knight as a secondary weapon. Made by Dave woodward our society armorer.

Single Handed Sword (14/15C)

Single handed sword

This has a wide slashing blade but tapers to a point for thrusting as well. There is a single Fuller, slightly down swept cross guard and round pommel. Would normally be used with a shield.

This is made by a company called Armourclass in Scotland, they make very good swords at a reasonable price. Its been in use for about 6 years now and its still as good as new apart from a few scuffs and scratchs on the plate, the edge is almost unblemished! They also made the Dark age sword above.

Two Handed Sword (1450)

This is a large Two handed sword of about 1450. It is based on one in the Copenhagen Museum in Denmark.

The total length is 150cm, has a diamond section blade tapering to a point, with the middle section of the blade having the peak of the diamond flattened off and the top section with a fuller The pommel is a six sided and the cross guard downward curved. The leather cover at the top of the blade is to allow a more comfortable grip when using it short like a spear with the lead hand gripping below the guard.
