This pages contains details of shows, events and practices we are attending or arranging for 2002 (and the beginning of 2003) .
Will members please note that it is vital that you let either Dave woodward and/or Craig Nicholas know if you plan to attend a show or not. This can be done by e-mail, snail mail (see posted e-mailed newsletters for address), phone, in person or even carrier pigon!. We just need to know who is coming and who isn't, as if we don't have the numbers we may have to cancel!
You can click on the name of a show in the list below to see the list of those who have currently confirmed to us they are coming (this feature is currently only available on some of the winter practices as a test, the plan is to use it for next years shows as an aid to members and organisers in arranging shows, any comments or suggestions welcome).

- 4th/5th/6th: Egremont, Invite from the Plantagenets. Clashes with our own show above
An event that exceeded all expectations last year. The enthusiasm and work put in by the people of the town was astonishing. The facilities at the site are fantastic (showers, washing machines, etc.). The banquet on site will be seating 140, at £20 a ticket (for those that attended last year you know its value for money). We would like to see more Living History Societies attend this venue, especially because the event is to raise monies for a Living History Heritage Museum for the town.
- 11th/12th: Wiltshire County Show,Invite from the Levy. NEW SITE THIS YEAR, Frome Cheese showground (AKA Woodlands showground), on the B3092 between Frome and Maiden Bradley. Theme This will be a relaxed event with us as the main attraction.
The event will have a late Medieval Gothic Arthurian theme as per the Penguin Classics edition of Mallory as first printed by Caxton. We hope to make this similar to the American Renaissance Fairs.
Saturday Doing the Last Battle if we get about 40. If not, lots of bits. Dave barnes wants to try out his new method If we all like it, then he hopes to make this an annual event and/or take it to other, prestigious, venues.
Sunday (after regular Car Boot sale in Marsh Lane) morning there will be a freeform actual battle. Two commanders will be chosen on the Saturday, they will then compete to attract units from the pool provided! How they fight the battle will be entirely up to them.
- 15th/16th: Tatton Old Hall , Near Knutsford, Cheshire, Invite from the Plantagenets. is an ongoing project for the plantagents. This event is to try and raise monies for restoration works and maintenance at Tatton Park. As ever, Plantagenet Events do not have a pool of available monies to pay for the event, and the gate money is the only funding we will have to pay re-enactors and for infrastructure costs. We need volunteers, again, to put on main arena displays, and bring living history displays. So many of you re-enactors were kind to us in 2001 for this event, we trust we still have your goodwill for 2002.
