Seige Catapult (Calne 1997).

This was taken at our static display for the Calne Canal group open day in July 1997. It shows our working replica seige catapult. It is about half scale of the sort of thing that would have been used to attack castles, but about the right size for a tower mounted catapult firing out of a castle. This sort of thing would have been used for throwing greek fire at a besieging army.

What the four dubious looking characters posing round it are up to I've no idea.
