This page contains links to various society documents in a number of formats. This is mainly for the benefit of members in obtaining copies when they need them, but is made publicly available to help people get a better idea of what we do and how we operate.
This is the main society rules document. The rules listed should be obeyed by all members while at an event.
These are society training guidelines. They cover the basics and safety only, more advance techniques can only really during actual training.
This covers the dos and don’ts when within the living history camp during the times the public has access. I.e. the opening times of the event. It also cover ideas and suggestions on equipment to use within the camp, and how to “hide” modern stuff..
This is a document required by our insurers, it details the societys child protection policy. The policy is written based on the society rule that we do not allow members under 18, however parents joining with family membership may bring there children to events and they can take part. Under 18's covered by a family membership may only attend if their parents do, they may not attend on their own.
This is the standard risk assessment for our displays at events. It is not suitable for the case where we are the main event organiser or organising a multi-society battle, in those cases a seperate custom risk assessment must be done.
