Gothic Armour

This Page contains a set of thumbnails of the various bits of a suit of Mid 15th Century Gothic armour.

Gothic armour is a style orginated by German armourers and is characterised by its use of cusped & decorated edges and flutes (ridges) in the armour surface. This was to add strength as well as looking good. You will see that it is in a "used" condition due to the dents and scratches.
